Among the main cooperating activities are the newly established Sino-Norwegian Centre for Interdisciplinary Environmental Research (SINCIERE) in Beijing, the China Programme at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, and the Network for University Cooperation Tibet-Norway which is coordinated by UiO.
Cooperation with Japan at UiO is widespread and includes all the faculties as well as the centres and museums. The most comprehensive cooperation is within science and medicine.
